Established in March 1914 under the visionary leadership of Late Shri Chunnilalji Kothari, C.S. Kothari Junior College began as the first aided Anglo-Vernacular (A.V.) School in the region.

The story of C.S. Kothari Junior College began over a century ago when The Nandura English Education Society established the first aided school in the region in 1914. By 1942, the school was recognized as an aided high school, and in 1955, it was renamed C.S. Kothari High School following a generous contribution from Seth Chunnilalji Shivratanji Kothari Firm. The new building became a symbol of academic pride for Nandura.

Introduction of Skill-Based Vocational Courses (H.S.V.C.)
Launch of Computer Science bifocal course
Establishment of Computer Laboratory under ICT Scheme
Separate Girls’ Hostel inaugurated
Received Linguistic Minority status
Started Smt. M. P. Kothari Women’s College (Arts, Commerce & Science)
